"Multiple years of failures" on the part of the U.S. government have led to the increased hostile acts taken by the Chinese against Americans, including that hackers were able to access nine U.S. telecom networks, retired U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Blaine Holt told Newsmax, Saturday.
"Let's just kind of walk through this administration's China policies," Holt said on Newsmax's "The Count." "[They were] getting their faces smacked in public as they took their seats and had a summit with the Chinese in Alaska.
"You have the Chinese spy balloon. You've got lasers. You've got hundreds of thousands of Chinese fighting-age men in our country, some working for the People's Liberation Army."
And when all those things are added to hackers being able to target high-level officials such as President-elect Donald Trump and Vice Presdient-elect JD Vance, as well as senior Biden administration officials, "these are acts of hybrid war," said Holt.
But the Biden administration doesn't "even lift a pinky" to stop China, he added.
"If they're not going to protect us under Article 4, Section 4 of the Constitution, shouldn't we be asking, What's your relationship to China and who's compromised in this relationship?" said Holt. "And what does that bode for us going over the horizon? Because nobody is imposing a cost imposition on China, which, by the way, we pay $1 trillion for really sweet tools that we could bring China to heel very quickly."
Trump, meanwhile, has been warning Bejing that the "game is over," said Holt.
"He started doing that by speaking indirectly about the Monroe Doctrine" about China, the Panama Canal, and Canada, he added.
"[Trump] is very serious about China's influence in the Western Hemisphere and how it compromises our safety," he said. "It's just the tip of the iceberg [and] part of those mass deportations."
The spies that are already in the United States will also be removed, said Holt.
"Those who are collaborating with them, you're going to need criminal attorneys and you better be calling them soon," he added.
