An unidentified top Democratic strategist told Breitbart News on Tuesday that Democratic National Committee Chair Ken Martin "needs to step down" after criticizing President Donald Trump's strikes on Iran.

Trump told reporters on Tuesday that Israel and Iran "don't know what the [expletive] they're doing" after both countries appeared to break the ceasefire agreed to on Monday.

The DNC's official social media account wrote in response to a clip of Trump's remark, "So then why the [expletive] did you get us involved?"

An unnamed person identified as a top Democratic strategist told Breitbart News that "Ken Martin needs to step down" in response to the social media post.

The New York Times previously reported that the DNC is currently "plagued by infighting," which has some uncertain about Martin's future.
