Former President Joe Biden's physician will come in this Wednesday for a deposition after declining a few weeks ago to do so and being issued a subpoena, House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer told Fox News' "Sunday Morning Futures," as the panel expands its probe into Biden's alleged mental decline.
The Kentucky Republican said that the committee has many questions for Dr. Kevin O'Connor "about the health reports that he would issue to the American people about Joe Biden," emphasizing that "I don't think anyone in America ... believes Biden was anywhere near as healthy as Dr. O'Connor would continuously publish."
Comer added that we have a lot of medical questions, a lot of legal issues" for O'Connor, who "will have an opportunity ... to explain how he could continuously issue glowing reports of health about Joe Biden."
The committee chair stressed that he is "serious about this investigation," and also that U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi "has announced an investigation at the Department of Justice into the illegal use of the autopen."
In addition to O'Connor, the committee is set to interview five members of the Biden administration soon.
Comer warned that "if they don't answer our questions, or if they don't show up for these transcribed interviews and depositions, then we will hold them in contempt of Congress. Our whole conference is united in getting to the truth on this. We want to know who was authorizing the use of the autopen."
He explained that it is particularly important to identify the "inner circle" that was actually running the administration and was behind "the massive cover-up of Joe Biden's mental decline."
