As everyone who is alive and fairly well knows, Israel, the refuge of the Jewish people after thousands of years of horrifying persecution, was attacked by a guerrilla army of terrorists who call themselves “Hamas” on Oct. 7, 2023.
They were well-armed with grenades, automatic rifles, and pistols, supplied to them by Iran, the leading purveyor of terror in the world.
Iran was supplied by North Korea, one of the most evil states in history.
North Korea, in turn, was supplied by Russia and by China, another charmer, who were opened up to peace by President Richard Nixon.
China became a fantastically productive industrial nation, but then turned to aggression and threats to its neighbors. These threats include building artificial islands in Philippine waters.
The terrorists in October killed about 1,400 Israelis in a space of a few hours. They then dragged hundreds of Israeli “hostages” into the vast complex of terror tunnels under Gaza and even under Israel.
Many of these hostages were women, who had been attending the “peace festival.” Many of these “hostages” were immediately tortured to death. But many of the “hostages” were bound, gang-raped, tortured, had their genitalia cut off while conscious, and then shot in the head: a mercy, if one can call it that.
The most horrifying part of the story, as far as it goes in our beloved United States, is that there were rallies of hundreds of thousands of “Americans” in big cities and especially on college campuses protesting against Israel for its military actions against Hamas terror sites.
There are witnesses to these atrocities. There is video. The terrorists circulate these images on the internet to show the world their “accomplishments.”
It is standard in warfare that when a nation bombs and kills civilians, the nation attacked replies with bombing attacks on the places where the initial attacks came from. Britain did that with Adolf Hitler’s Germany.
The U.S. did it in spades with Japan. The Empire of the Rising Sun killed roughly 2,000 American civilians at the beginning of our involvement in World War II. The U.S. killed millions of Japanese by the end of the war, including about 220,000 with the nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki that ended the war.
No one here thought of complaining about these attacks. They were basic parts of war.
But when Israel tries to protect itself by knocking out the Hamas terror bases and, incidentally, Arab civilians whom Hamas has used as shields get killed, the world shrieked out in horror.
Most disgusting of all, when the female presidents of three major universities were called to testify before Congress last year, they were asked if pro-Hamas terrorists violated their ethical standards by calling for the murder of Jews.
Not one of them explicitly said that she would condemn the people who called for the murder of Jews en masse. Not one of them said she would unequivocally condemn the mass rapes and sexual torture and mutilation of Israeli women and girls by Hamas terrorists.
None of the major supposedly pro-woman organizations in America unequivocally said they condemned the mass rapes and murders of Jewish women by Hamas as a war crime.
This comes, of course, on the heels of the worst crime against humanity in modern Western history, the Holocaust by the Germans and their friends against the Jewish people by the Nazis. The killers, who welcomed the “Grand Mufti” of Jerusalem into their ranks and hundreds of thousands of other Arabs, were never in any meaningful sense held to account.
Now, in our era, we see that the “prestige” universities of America have become havens for what are, in fact, Nazis. Out of nowhere has burst the most unequivocal racial hatred against Jews in the history of our great nation. It is not safe to be a Jew on college campuses now.
Why? Where did it come from? Where will it go to? How did so much hatred suddenly explode in this most blessed nation?
Why has the Democratic Party refused to condemn this horror show? How did the most powerful women in America stay silent as the worst atrocities against women in our era exploded?
Why do so many people hate Jews so much? Why do so many people hate women so much?
There is a plague going around the world. It’s far worse than COVID-19. It’s industrial-strength hatred.
Hitler would be proud.
