Falsehood Never Has Legs to Stand On

On June 17, 2023, French President Emmanuel Macron was poised to recognize a Palestinian state at a U.N. conference, a move many saw as a ludicrous act of appeasement towards an entity that, for decades, has harbored extremist ideologies and promoting hatred instead of peace.

A move especially disputed by Israel.

Just days earlier, however, events took a dramatic turn.

As many now know, Israel executed a meticulously planned operation against Iran, significantly neutralizing threats posed by its military and nuclear ambitions, "Operation Rising Lion."

The conference was postponed.

The resulting silence at the UN recently spoke volumes; Macron’s grand ambitions crumbled under the weight of reality. The UN was filled with reporters and statesman, awaiting waiting the raising of the flag but it never happened.

Macron found himself ensnared in a quagmire of embarrassment and isolation.

The juxtaposition of Israel’s strategic success against the Iranian threat with Macron's romanticized vision of partnering with terror was, and still is, telling.

It encapsulated, if not summarized, how falsehoods, however tempting, have no legs to stand on. The Iranian regime, a persistent source of destabilization and terror, had long hidden behind various proxies to wage conflict against not just Israel, but also against Western democracies.

As Macron sought to elevate an elusive "Palestinian state" to new heights, the world witnessed a stunning display of divine intervention; a reminder that righteous actions backed by truth often render the most formidable adversaries powerless.

It was not merely a tactical failure; it was a profound moral misstep.

Macron’s misguided aspirations to appease organizations like Hamas and Iran directly contradicted the persistent existential threats posed by these very entities.

In a symbolic sense, as the Palestinian flag remained unfurled and starkly absent at the U.N., Macron’s empire of illusion lay in ruins.

His diplomatic aspirations of holding a historic conference and raising a Palestinian flag at the UN rewarding Hamas for its Oct. 7, 2023, massacre were met not with camaraderie from fellow nations but instead with abandonment.

The international community, so often ensnared in the complexities of Middle Eastern geopolitics, saw clearly that aligning with falsehoods is a grim path to isolation.

This scenario evokes the biblical adage that the almighty has plans beyond the comprehension of man.

In this case, it appeared that divine providence was at work, leading to a recalibration of global attitudes toward Israel.

The fact that a country could, in three days, achieve what world powers failed to accomplish in 50 years speaks to the power of truth and honor.

Iran’s operatives and leadership fell in a matter of days, and thus the world was gifted a more secure environment, liberated from the shackles of rhetoric that had been used to justify terror.

The presiding impotence of the U.N. during this critical juncture leaves one questioning its purpose. When faced with the evidence that it is denying the truth leads one to think, how can an organization like the U.N.get away

claiming to fulfill its foundational mission by supporting terror and condemnation against Israel and western values again and again?

As the dust settled from Macron’s embarrassing defeat, the world learned yet again that falsehood has no legs to stand on.

To lead is to embrace the intractable truths of our world, to face them head-on, and to reject the seductive allure of folly dressed as diplomacy.

It's time for Macron, and indeed all world leaders, to reconsider their strategies and learn from U.S. President Donald J. Trump, that the only avenue to peace is the deployment of strength to bring peace, to aggressively push for truth over deception.

Additionally, integrity must be prioritized over political expediency.

These are the only ways to move genuinely forward, in an increasingly complex and dangerous global landscape.
