In today’s world, the desire to migrate to the United States remains a powerful aspiration for millions of people across the globe. According to a Gallup survey, approximately 750 million individuals worldwide would migrate if given the opportunity, with the USA often being their top choice.

This article delves into some of the staggering numbers, revealing just how many people from a few specific countries are ready to make the move to the USA if they had legal avenues and transportation.  Please remember that Social Security, healthcare, free food, public schools, and public housing are among the key reasons many people aspire to migrate to the USA.

Here is a Short list of 242 Million People Who Are Ready to Move to Your City

Nigeria: 50% Ready to Migrate

Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation, has a significant portion of its population eager to relocate. With an estimated population of over 223 million people, about 50% of Nigerians, or approximately 111.5 million, have expressed a desire to migrate. The USA is a preferred destination for many of them, highlighting the country’s appeal as a land of opportunity.

Pakistan: 24% - 59 Million Looking for Housing in California and New York

In Pakistan, a country with a population of around 248 million, approximately 24% of the population, or 59.5 million people, are interested in migrating. The USA stands out as a favored destination, attracting those seeking better opportunities and stability.

Bangladesh: 17% - 29 Million Eyeing the American Benefits Dream

Bangladesh, with a population of about 174 million, has around 17% of its people, or 29.6 million individuals, expressing a desire to move abroad. The USA remains a popular choice among those looking to improve their living conditions.

Mexico: 20% 25 Million People Aspiring to Migrate and Live in the USA

Mexico, the USA’s neighbor to the south, has a population of approximately 128 million. Of these, 20%—or 25.6 million people—have expressed a desire to migrate, with the USA being the top destination. This longstanding migration trend reflects the close ties and economic opportunities available in the USA.

Venezuela: 30% Seeking Benefits From the USA

Venezuela, a country in the midst of economic and political turmoil, has a population of around 29 million. Approximately 30% of Venezuelans, or 8.7 million people, are looking to emigrate, with the USA being a preferred choice for many seeking stability and a fresh start.

Nicaragua: 43% or 3 Million Dreaming of a Golden Ticket to the USA

Nicaragua, with a population of about 7 million, has one of the highest percentages of people wanting to migrate. Around 43%, or 3 million Nicaraguans, express a strong desire to leave, with the USA being a prime destination for those seeking better opportunities.

Honduras: 43% Ready to Cash in and Move to the USA

Similarly, Honduras, with a population of 10 million, sees about 43% of its population, or 4.3 million people, eager to migrate. The USA is a popular choice for Hondurans seeking to escape challenges at home and build a better future.

Conclusion

In total, these 7 countries alone represent over 242 million people who would migrate to the USA if given the chance. This number highlights the immense global interest in the USA as a destination for those seeking benefits, free schools, better lives, government sponsored food and health care, opportunities, and stability. The sheer scale of these migration aspirations underscores the importance of addressing the challenges and opportunities that come with global migration.

The United States must strategically utilize immigration policies, such as the H1B visa program, to attract and retain the best and brightest talent from around the world. By prioritizing individuals with advanced technical skills and expertise in fields like science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), the USA can significantly boost its productivity and maintain its competitive edge in the global economy.

These skilled immigrants not only contribute to innovation and technological advancement but also play a vital role in addressing labor shortages in critical industries. By fostering an environment that welcomes top talent, the United States can ensure sustained economic growth and continue to lead in cutting-edge research and development.

As a note,  The most common visa for visitors (for tourism, business, or visiting family) is the B1/B2 visa. The application fee for this visa is $185 USD.  Using a  low number, about 10-18 million people have come into the USA in the last 4 years without permission or a visa.   Thus, the USA lost 1.85 billion or 10 Million  Visa fees. With $1.85 billion, you could potentially feed approximately 2 million people for a year.

Conclusion

The combined total of individuals from just these seven nations who are ready to migrate to the USA, if given the opportunity, amounts to an astonishing 242.2 million people. This figure includes:

  • 111.5 million from Nigeria
  • 59.5 million from Pakistan
  • 29.6 million from Bangladesh
  • 25.6 million from Mexico
  • 8.7 million from Venezuela
  • 3 million from Nicaragua
  • 4.3 million from Honduras

This staggering number reflects the immense global interest in the United States as a destination for those seeking better lives, opportunities, and stability. The scale of these migration aspirations poses both challenges and opportunities for the USA, highlighting the critical need for thoughtful immigration policies that can manage such significant potential influxes. Addressing these aspirations through legal pathways and comprehensive immigration reform could help harness the potential of these millions, benefiting both the migrants and the receiving nation.

While I am a mix of: Sicilian, Hispanic, Egyptian, Native American, Irish, Arabian, Asian and European, I am in favor of strategic immigration that benefits the USA.  As I have visited and worked in Asia, Arabia, Africa, and Latin America, all of these nations in these regions are smart enough to profit from strategic immigration by selecting people who have potential productivity, skills,  and assets.

Sadly, the USA seems to be the only nation that does not profit from the immigration process while allowing coyotes (human smugglers) to make billions each year. Overall, it is apparent that Social Security, Obamacare, Public Housing and Public Schools are doomed to fail as Ponzi Schemes without a proper tax base, funding, and human capital.  The worst thing is that the immigration is good for the slum lords , but hurts women and minorities the most in the inner cities with higher rents, most costly goods, higher food prices, more crime, higher insurance prices, and more city, state and local taxes.
