The New York Times reported the suspect in custody in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson had the same fake ID that was used by someone registered at a Manhattan hostel.

He was found to be in possession of a gun and silencer similar to what was used in Wednesday's killing. The gun appeared to be a "ghost gun" made with parts of other guns.

The suspect fled New York City after the killing aboard a Greyhound bus, which he also had used to get to New York before the killing.
