Let's take a closer look at the facts regarding race and Americans who have been killed by police in 2021.

There have been 30 Blacks killed by police this year. There have been 50 Whites killed by during that same time.

That includes Capitol Hill rioter, Air Force veteran, and Trump supporter - Ashli Babbitt. Babbit was shot in the neck as she climbed a glass door barricading the Jan. 6 mob from the Speaker's Lobby.

Daunte Wright was one of the black men killed by police this year. He had an open arrest warrant for felony robbery with a firearm.

Another was Noah Green, a member of the nation of Islam. He was shot and killed after mowing down Capitol Hill police officer Billy Evans. There have also been 20 people classified as Hispanic - who've been killed by police this year.

And there have been 112 people killed this year, whose races are still unknown largely due to our illegal immigration crisis.

So, what's the common thread that runs through the vast majority of these cases?

The overwhelming majority of people killed by police were doing something illegal.

And then, when confronted by a law enforcement officer about the illegal act, they didn't do what they were supposed to.

That's on them. That's not on the police.

And it's hard to blame anyone for being afraid these days.

But, let's get some perspective here.

There have been 97 line of duty deaths this year, including 15 law enforcement officers killed by gunfire. And seven who've been killed by vehicular assault, like Billy Evans.

I'll say it a million times - so much of this is about fear, so little of it is about race.
