Floridians do not want a President Kamala Harris, yet millions are being lulled in voting for just that.
Joe Biden remains a figurehead candidate.
His unwillingness to stand up to the ascendent Left of his party reduces him to the status of a lame-duck in waiting. Therefore, his election would serve primarily to facilitate the seizure of the federal government by a wave of "woke" young staffers eager to remake America in accordance with their university social science curriculum.
Joe Biden himself acknowledged this reality in May, referring to himself as merely a "transition candidate" to empower "an incredible group of talented, newer, younger people."
He didn’t even object to being called a "placeholder."
Due to his advanced age, there is a distinct possibility that Joe Biden could wind up being a "transition" to a much more radical President than the American people would ever actually elect.
Biden himself created his possibility by picking a running mate, Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., who is the most far-Left member of the U.S. Senate.
Even The New York Times acknowledges that Harris is, in effect, being groomed for a quick transition to president of the United States.
Speaking to a very small group of supporters in their cars in a parking lot in Atlanta, Georgia, Biden stood in front of a giant "Kamala" banner and introduced himself by saying, "I am Kamala’s running mate. You all think I’m kidding!"
On one level, that’s a cynical play for votes.
Biden and his advisers were counting on the fact that Harris, who has a Jamaican father, to help drive turnout among black women --- a key Democratic constituency.
Indeed, the Democratic Party has engaged in a full court press for black women in this election cycle, with Rep. Jim Clyburn, D-S.C., punctuating his call to pack the Supreme Court with attacks on Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., as a "token," and failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams making Biden’s short list of potential running mates based almost entirely on her physical characteristics.
On another level, however, Biden actually seems to be trying to ease voters into becoming comfortable with the idea of a "President Harris."
That’s a tall order.
Before joining the Biden ticket, Kamala Harris staked out a place for herself well to the left of the Obama-Biden administration, and sometimes even beyond democratic socialist Senator Bernie Sanders, promising a complete ban on fracking, an end to virtually all deportations, and the decriminalization of illegal immigration — a policy President Obama’s own Homeland Security secretary called "tantamount to declaring publicly that we have open borders."
In more private settings, Harris has an even more extremist streak.
She is on the record supporting the legalization of prostitution and the end of cash bail, as well as strongly implying that she believed the Knights of Columbus is an extremist group because, as Catholics, its members oppose abortion.
When riots broke out this summer, she not only encouraged them, she promoted a fund to bail rioters out so they could continue looting and burning businesses in Minnesota and elsewhere. Then she used her spot on the Senate Homeland Security committee to attack federal law enforcement officers for using tear gas.
Harris espouses a far-left ideology that makes her well suited for politics in California.
But, it’s not the kind of thing Floridians vote for.
