Republican front-runner Donald Trump predicted President Joe Biden likely won't make it to November's general election.
In an interview that aired Monday on WMAL's "The Vince Coglianese Show," Trump wasn't specific about what he thinks will happen to Biden between now and Nov. 5, only that "I don't think he's going to make it."
"My attitude is that whatever it is, it is, but do I think he's going to make it? Probably not," Trump told Coglianese. "Most people disagree with this vehemently."
Trump said he believes Biden is "cognitively impaired." Trump called on Biden last week to take a cognitive test, a day after Biden's physician declared he didn't need one.
"Certainly physically impaired. He can't even walk up a flight of stairs. He can never find his way. He can never find the stairs," Trump told Coglianese. "He can't put two sentences together, and he's responsible for negotiating with [Russian President Vladimir] Putin on nuclear weapons. The whole thing is crazy."
Biden is 81, but the 77-year-old Trump said he doesn't think it's about age.
"It's not the age. There's something going on in my opinion," he said.
Trump's assertion echoes almost exactly what he said in early December at a town hall event in Davenport, Iowa. It's also similar to what Trump said in an interview in late December.
"I cannot believe he's going to be the nominee," Trump said then.
Regardless, the White House last week said Biden is fit as a fiddle.
"The president's doctor has said, if you look at what this president, who is also the commander in chief — he passes a cognitive test every day — every day, as he moves from one topic to another topic, trying — understanding the granular level of these topics," White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said last week.
