House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said Sunday he finds it "very odd" that news of former President Donald Trump's possible indictment would be revealed the day after he revealed bank records showing President Joe Biden's family "hasn't been truthful with respect to his family receiving payments directly from the Chinese Communist Party."

"It looks like it's an effort to detract, but at the very least, it's another example of a two-tiered system of justice," the Kentucky Republican said on Fox News's "Sunday Morning Futures."

"Look, we've been looking into these classified documents," he added. "We saw the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago for one set of supposedly mishandled classified documents, but yet Joe Biden's had at least five different locations of misplaced documents, and they give him day, days and days to clean up. So this is another example of a two-tiered system of justice at the DOJ."

Saturday, Trump announced through his Truth Social account that he expects to be arrested Tuesday in a case through the office of the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg,  and called on his supporters to protest.

No charges have been officially announced against Trump at this time, but Bragg has issued a memo to his staff calling for calm amid reports of "chaos."

Meanwhile, it's believed that there are "as many as 11 more deals" involving the Biden family than have been released, said Comer.

"In the beginning, the White House denied having any knowledge or the fact that their family was involved in any sort of way, shape or form with the CCP, but now we have bank records that reveal otherwise," said Comer. "We don't know what the Bidens did in return for the money. The lawyer said that it was seed capital for a business. We haven't been able to find a business."

He added that the committee has already talked privately with people closely aligned with the Biden family, and while he won't reveal what was said, "very soon they'll either be talking to everyone in the form of a deposition or, even better, in a committee hearing…I'm pretty confident we'll be getting more bank records very soon."

Comer also on Sunday said that when Biden was vice president under President Barack Obama, he "made several trips to China," including taking son Hunter and associates with him.

"They met in different places with some of these people that the president claimed he never met with, so we know the president hasn't been truthful about his involvement when he was vice president," said Comer. "But from talking to former associates that were involved with Hunter Biden, we know the Biden family had agreed to help China, to help China get their foot in the door of the American energy industry, purchase interests in drillers for natural gas as well as try to do things like help China buy farmland. This is something every American's outraged over."

Comer also noted incriminating messages from Hunter Biden's laptop, including a message that he was frustrated with one of the business partners while his father was vice president, and he " reminded them that they had never done anything in return for him."

A few weeks later, he said, a $3 million wire appeared in the account in the name of Rob Walker, which then "distributed money to Hunter Biden and then at least two or possibly three family members."

Meanwhile, Biden makes "strange decisions that oftentimes put America last and China first," said Comer. "We want to know if he's compromised because of the millions and millions of dollars that his family has taken from China. We're going to continue with this investigation, and I think over the last two weeks we've already presented a lot of evidence as to why this investigation is of the utmost importance."
