Vice President Kamala Harris is being mocked on social media after being accused of putting on a southern accent during her rally in Atlanta on Tuesday.

Video from the event was quickly circulated online and shows the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee excitedly telling the crowd, "You all helped us win in 2020, and we're gonna do it again in 2024!"

"Kamala seems to have developed Sudden Onset Urban Accent," Daily Wire host Matt Walsh wrote on X while sharing the footage with his nearly 3 million followers. "A condition that the last female presidential candidate famously suffered from."

Comedian and entrepreneur Terrence K. Williams called Harris worse "than Hillary Clinton" and asked why she was "changing her accent to pander to black people."

"Kamala Harris is dangerously dumb and fake," wrote Williams, who is Black. "Embarrassing."

Another commentator, who stated they were born "the next town over from Kamala Harris," said "nobody talks like this in that part of California."

"I don't know why she's faking an accent," @LeighWolf said. "Very bizarre behavior."

Other X users referenced when Harris, 59, seemed to put on a French accent while visiting the Pasteur Institute in Paris in November 2021, creating a small scandal.

The Harris campaign is reportedly preparing to announce the vice president's own vice president pick at a rally in Philadelphia next week.

The full Democrat ticket will then barnstorm across seven battleground states in four days, as Harris seeks to capitalize on newfound optimism within the party.
