President Donald Trump called House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff a “pencil neck” a few times during a meeting with some two dozen House Republicans, Politico reported on Wednesday.

Schiff, a California Democrat, who sounded ominous warnings about what Robert Mueller might find on the president during the two years of the probe, has been the target of Republican scorn after the special counsel’s report found no collusion involving Trump’s campaign with the Russian government.

Although the president’s meeting with House Republicans on Tuesday was about trade, Trump made a few asides with attacks on others, adding that Schiff  would be a horrible golfer who could only drive the ball a measly 50 yards.

Trump also stressed that Republicans shouldn’t let Democrats off the hook for how they treated him and his family over the past two years during the Mueller investigation, adding that Democrats have no credibility. According to one source, the presdient indicated that he wanted the GOP to investigate allegations of misdeeds by Democrats during the entire episode.

According to Politico, Trump also told the gathering, who met in the cabinet room, that Federal Reserve Chairman Jay Powell has “no feel” for the economy and, using another golfing analogy, compared him to a bad putter.
