Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told Newsmax on Tuesday his meetings with senators are going "very well."

Kennedy, President-elect Donald Trump's nominee for secretary of Health and Human Services, was on Capitol Hill meeting with lawmakers before his confirmation hearings next month.

Newsmax reporter Kilmeny Duchardt spoke with Kennedy on his way to one such meeting, asking him how they were going.

"Very well," Kennedy said.

Topic 1 for Kennedy with senators has been his support for the polio vaccine amid his partnership with attorney Aaron Siri, who has been fighting against vaccines for years, including a petition with the federal government to revoke its approval of the polio vaccine.

"He said, 'I 100% support polio vaccination,'" Sen. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., told reporters after meeting with Kennedy on Monday.
