Could Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is running as an independent for president, keep Donald Trump from returning to the White House?
Polling from Mainstreet Research, PolComb Lab, and Florida Atlantic University showed the former president with a slim lead over President Joe Biden head-to-head in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. But with Kennedy added to the poll, Biden jumps ahead.
Kennedy has yet to make the ballot in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin
In Pennsylvania, Trump leads Biden 45% to 43% head-to-head, but Biden leads Trump 41% to 39%, with Kennedy getting 8% in a three-way poll.
In Wisconsin, Trump leads Biden 41% to 40% head-to-head while Biden leads Trump 38% to 31%, with Kennedy getting 13% in a three-way poll.
In Michigan, Trump and Biden are tied at 45% head-to-head while Biden leads Trump 41% to 39%, with Kennedy getting 11% in a three-way poll.
Kennedy is officially on the ballot in Utah, South Carolina, Michigan, California, Delaware, Oklahoma, Hawaii, and Texas. He has collected enough signatures for ballot access in New Hampshire, Nevada, North Carolina, Idaho, Nebraska, Iowa, Ohio, New Jersey, and New York, the campaign said.
Nationally, Kennedy is getting 10% support in the five-way polling average, according to RealClearPolitics.
The survey sampled 2,068 voters in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan from May 30-31. The margin of error is 3.5%.
