Actor James Woods, displaced by California wildfires and facing attacks from "liberal idiots," fired back at his social media critics Wednesday morning.
"This fire is not from 'climate change,' you ignorant a**hole," Woods wrote on X, blasting a climate change activist for propaganda and insensitivity. "It's because liberal idiots like you elect liberal idiots like Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass. One doesn't understand the first thing about fire management and the other can't fill the water reservoirs."
Woods responded to an X poster who attempted to note the irony of Woods being run out of his home amid the raging wildfires that had spread by high winds north of Los Angeles.
"The irony of James Woods, known for his skepticism about climate change, losing his home to the very wildfires linked to climate change impacts in California, is striking," a Satan-inspired X account wrote, drawing Woods' response.
Woods pivoted the attack on him to call out Democrat Gov. Newsom and out-of-pocket Los Angeles Democrat Mayor Karen Bass for policies that exacerbated impacts on the historically wildfire vulnerable California locale in which he lives.
During the first Trump administration, President-elect Donald Trump blamed Newsom for mismanagement of "forest floors" as being the way to mitigate the repeated damage of wildfires in the famously dry and desert-like areas of California like suburban Los Angeles.
Trump also pointed to the "closed water lanes," something that would now be under the purview of Bass' management of Los Angeles.
Bass left her city before the expected wind storms for a presidential inauguration in Ghana and reportedly had to cut her trip short to return to the devastation Wednesday.
Woods also called out Los Angeles Fire Department chief Kristin Crowley for her hailing priorities of "diversity, equity, and inclusion."
"Priorities stated in her bio below," Wood lamented on X, sharing her public profile. "Refilling the water reservoirs would have been a welcome priority, too, but I guess she had too much on her plate promoting diversity."
Woods showed the last paragraph:
"Creating, supporting, and promoting a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and equity while striving to meet and exceed the expectations of the communities are Chief Crowley's priorities, and she is grateful for the opportunity to serve the City of Los Angeles," the website bio reads.
Before the wind storm-aided wildfire raged, Woods posted a video showing the skyline from his now-evacuated home.
"I took this last night from our beautiful little home in the Palisades," he wrote on X. "Now all the fire alarms are going off at once remotely. It tests your soul, losing everything at once, I must say."
Woods also posted a note that he has since pinned about having just finished the renovations on his home.
"We renovated a home after COVID and just finished last month," he wrote on X. "To all the lovely people offering care and love, I'll say this. There is no possession as priceless as friends and good neighbors during a tragedy. I can't believe the blessings we enjoy, and I am humbly grateful."
