Following revelations this week from former acting CIA Director Mike Morell's admission that 50 intelligence officials signed a letter in 2020 election falsely claiming the Hunter Biden laptop story held all the "classic earmarks of a Russian information operation," member of the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, Rep. Harriet Hageman, R-Wyo., told Newsmax on Saturday that the United States foreign policy, headed by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, may be directed by the corruption of President Joe Biden.
''I think one of the things that's so troubling for me about Blinken is, he is the Secretary of State," Hageman told "The Count."
On Thursday, Chair of the House Judiciary Committee Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, released the partial transcript of Morell's testimony detailing how Blinken, a longtime associate of Biden, called up Morell on Oct. 17, 2020 requesting he organize the letter "[to] help Vice President Biden ... Because I," Morell, "wanted him to win the election."
Hageman goes on to add that "when [Blinken] took his job as Secretary of State "and took the oath that he did, and swore to uphold the laws of the United States and the Constitution, he knew that the gentleman that he was going to work for was totally and completely corrupt and had been compromised by foreign governments through the activities of his son."
"So, we've got a situation," Hageman continues, "where one of the very top people in this administration has knowledge about the president; was willing to cover it up, was willing to get other people involved in covering it up; and now, we're in a situation where we're asking questions, such as 'why are they allowing a Chinese balloon across the entirety of the United States? Why are they willing to enter into a nuclear deal with Iran? Why are they spending over $100 billion to Ukraine — with no accountability and no accounting for it?'"
"So you've got to ask a lot of questions about to what extent our foreign policy is being dictated by the corruption of the Biden crime family. But you also have to understand that our Secretary of State is right in the middle of it."
According to the New York Post, on "Oct. 17, 2020, three days after the Post published an email from the laptop suggesting Hunter had introduced his Ukrainian business partner to his father, then-Vice President Biden," Blinken called Morell. Two days after that, Politico published the letter signed by 50 "senior intelligence officials." Three days later, the final debate for the 2020 presidential election between former President Donald Trump and Biden ensued.
