Political analyst Dick Morris told Newsmax on Monday that Joe Biden is compromised and has made decisions while serving as president that benefit his "Chinese masters," instead of Americans.
"I think this is going to be a new and dominant theme in the Trump campaign: taking the evidence of Biden's receiving bribes and correlating it with the failures of his presidency to show that the reason he has been so weak and so ineffective is because he can't turn on his Chinese masters," Morris told "American Agenda." "Why has he, for example, never investigated the origins of the COVID virus and let China shut the Wuhan lab to inspection? Where are the sanctions on China? Where are the tariffs on China?
"Where's the punishment for the greatest crime since the Holocaust? And where is the sanctions and punishment of China for trying to dethrone the dollar as the global currency and for making companies give the Chinese representative the majority of their board — one member with 51% voting share before they’ll let them into the country?"
Morris said those are examples of China flouting an America-First policy favored by former President Donald Trump, the front-runner for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination. He said a central theme of Trump's campaign will be correlating those examples with allegations of Biden taking bribes from foreign adversaries, including China.
An I&I/TIPP poll from the beginning of this month found 63% of Americans believe Biden should leave the presidency if allegations of bribery by foreign powers, including China, prove to be true.
Hunter Biden allegedly requested $10 million from his Chinese business partners at now-bankrupt energy conglomerate CEFC because, he said, the Bidens do "exactly what the chairman wants."
Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., chair of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, has alleged bank statements and as many as 20 shell companies indicate the Biden family could have accepted $40 million or more in bribes from foreign agents.
Morris said a trial involving Hunter Biden, who is facing tax evasion and gun charges after his plea deal fell apart, "will be very significant," but said he doesn’t expect the Trump campaign to focus on "what China gave Biden."
"We know that — the House committee is bringing that up, we're all learning that, we’re all appalled by it," said Morris, a former presidential adviser to Trump and Bill Clinton. "What's significant now is what Biden gave China. How did Biden undermine America's national interest in the interests of paying back the bribes that he took?
"Biden is showing his appreciation and his gratitude for [the alleged bribes], by not investigating COVID, letting the dollar be limited to national currency, giving China a monopoly over rare earth minerals, permitting them to circle the world with bases, letting them have a base in Cuba."
