Matt Schlapp, chair of the Conservative Political Action Conference, told Newsmax on Tuesday that "all the polling shows that the American people, even on both sides, have turned against the biased news media."

Last week, CBS News came under fire over its interview with Vice President Kamala Harris on "60 Minutes" in which the network was accused of selectively editing Harris' response to a question about Israel. The change made her answer appear more concise than it was.

Schlapp told "The Chris Salcedo Show" that now "huge majorities of the American people know they're in the bag for the bad guys."

"They have a point of view," Schlapp said. "They're pro-socialist, they're pro-woke, they're pro-globalist, and they really hate us. I mean, the destruction of the great heroic life of Christopher Columbus, the way they mock people of faith, the way they're trying to destroy Israel's standing within the politics of the United States."

Schlapp lamented that "serious legal questions" surround CBS News using corporate money to bolster Harris' campaign.

"Everything that these people push is about destroying civilization, destroying America," he said.
