Conservative commentator and host of "The Savage Nation" podcast, Michael Savage, declared liberalism a "mental disorder" during an appearance Monday on Newsmax's "Carl Higbie FRONTLINE," sharply criticizing sanctuary cities, immigration policies, and liberal governance.

"Liberalism surely is a mental disorder, isn't it?" Savage asked, launching into a critique of immigration policies and sanctuary city protections. He accused liberal leaders of creating a "plot to invade America with hordes of foreigners from alien cultures," drawing a parallel to German Chancellor Angela Merkel's policies.

Savage claimed President-elect Donald Trump was correct in asserting that some immigrants arriving in the U.S. were from mental hospitals and prisons emptied by their home countries.

"We know that Trump was right when he said they emptied out their mental hospitals, prisons… It's just as Trump said," he emphasized.

He directed much of his criticism toward sanctuary cities, describing them as a "racket" involving liberal government officials. "Virtually every liberal government official in the country is in on the sanctuary city racket, including the mayors of San Francisco, New York, etc.," Savage alleged.

For viewers unfamiliar with the term, Savage explained, "Sanctuary cities are called sanctuaries because, in one way or another, they refuse to cooperate with the federal government on enforcing immigration." He added that these cities instruct local authorities and welfare offices not to inquire about individuals' immigration status or require proof of citizenship.

Savage speculated about challenges Trump would face if reelected, particularly regarding funding for sanctuary cities. "Trump is going to have a battle on his hands with this issue all over again," Savage said, predicting that cutting off funding to these cities would provoke strong opposition from liberal media and law professors.

Reflecting on the broader issue of immigration enforcement, Savage questioned how mass deportations could be executed. "Forget about the 10 or 20 million that [President Joe] Biden flooded into our cities and states. Of course, [Trump] is going to start with the gangs. They're easy to identify… but then you have this kind of psychotic released into the country. They're a little harder to find until they commit a crime, aren't they?"

Savage acknowledged the difficulty of distinguishing between undocumented immigrants who contribute to the economy and those involved in criminal activity. "How is he going to dig up who these people are and separate them from, let's say, illegals who came here and actually are working in a meat factory or whatever?" he questioned.

Despite his doubts about the feasibility of large-scale deportations, Savage maintained that ensuring public safety should remain a top priority. "Of course, we all want our cities to be made safe. Yeah, I just don't know how they get it done, is my question," he concluded.
