All of President-elect Donald Trump's Cabinet nominations will be confirmed, Republican National Committee Chair Michael Whatley told to Newsmax on Tuesday.
Whatley made the prediction as many of Trump's nominees will be on Capitol Hill this week for their Senate confirmation hearings.
"I do think that Donald Trumps' nominees are going to get confirmed, because they represent the agenda that he ran on," Whatley told "Wake Up America." "Throughout the course of his campaign, Donald Trump repeatedly pledged to restore the southern border, rebuild our economy and make sure that America is strong enough to protect our interests and our allies around the world.
"Pete Hegseth [the first of the nominees to appear before a confirmation hearing] represents exactly that ethos."
Whatley said Hegseth "is going to be a fighter for our fighters. He is going to be a new generation of leadership that is sorely needed at the Pentagon."
The RNC chair noted that at the hearings "the Democrats are going to come loaded, but [the hearings] will go well, and I fully expect Pete will be confirmed as our next secretary of defense."
Whatley also commented on the release of the Jack Smith report and said that there are those in the Biden administration who "need to be held accountable."
"The fact is that Joe Biden and his team weaponized the judiciary system ... to go after Donald Trump and his allies in a way that has never been done before," Whatley said. "It needs to be never be done again. If people violated the law, if they violated the rules that govern the Department of Justice, they need to be held accountable."
Whatley also said that on the first day of his administration, Trump will immediately get back to work, as day one and the first 100 days are very critical to the success of the entire agenda.
Whatley said that the first executive orders that will be signed will be "to unleash American energy to bring down prices for American families and then he is going to secure the southern border."
Whatley reiterated that the administration means to start with the basics — "restore the southern border, rebuild the economy, keep our communities safe and make America strong."
