Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, who served as a White House physician when Joe Biden was vice president, tells Newsmax that the commander-in-chief's cognitive decline from the Obama administration to now, is "profound."

"Go back and look at video from him when he was vice president ... and compare it to video from now; it's not the same man," Jackson tells "Carl Higbie FRONTLINE."

"I mean, the degeneration is profound," the congressman adds, "and the fact that they think that he can finish this term and then do another four years after this, that's absolutely insane."

Jackson's comment follows after special counsel Robert Hur released his report last week determining the president was an "elderly man with a poor memory."

During a presser on Thursday, Biden pushed back on the notion that age had affected his cognition.

"I'm well-meaning," Biden said, "and I'm an elderly man, and I know what the hell I'm doing. I've been president; I put this country back on its feet. I don't need his recommendation."
