While the recently released "Bonhoeffer" biopic made an impression on audiences, subsequent headlines have focused predominantly on the film proving controversial with critics.

The movie, released domestically on Nov. 22 by Angel Studios, recounts the true-life story of the German theologian, pastor, and anti-Nazi dissident Dietrich Bonhoeffer who was also involved in the plot to assassinate dictator Adolf Hitler.
