Chinese Firm OKs Drones Over White House, Capitol in Time for Inauguration

Just ahead of the U.S. presidential inauguration, DJI, the Chinese drone manufacturer that is the world’s dominant maker of consumer-grade drones, announced it was ending the system that keeps its drones from being flown over White House and military base airspace.

"DJI has announced updates to its geofencing system (GEO) which applies to most of its consumer and enterprise drone products in the United States (U.S.) These changes will take effect starting from January 13 on both the DJI Fly and DJI Pilot flight apps.
