A newly signed agreement granting the United States preferential access to Ukraine's mineral resources is drawing international attention as both nations position the deal as a turning point in postwar reconstruction, economic cooperation, and resource independence.

The deal, finalized on April 30, establishes the United States-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund.
