The Bronx headquarters of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., was vandalized over the weekend with red paint and a sign that said, "AOC funds genocide in Gaza," police said Monday.

A group known as Boogie Down Liberation took responsibility for the vandalism.

"[F***] AOC," the group told the New York Post Monday.

"The Bronx is sick and tired of people like AOC and [Rep.] Ritchie Torres [D-N.Y.,] using us as a stepping stone for their own political careers," the group said in a statement.

"The Bronx stands with the people of Palestine, and we denounce the hypocrisy of AOC who voted to fund Israel's ongoing genocide and starvation campaign in Gaza. [F***] AOC!"

AOC last week voted against legislation that would have cut funding for the Israeli Defense Forces.
