President-elect Donald Trump is expecting to play host to the entire Republican Senate conference at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida sometime before his Jan. 20 inauguration, Axios reported Tuesday.

"Mar-a-Lago is special to the president," a Trump adviser told Axios. "He's at ease there. Everyone is. So it's a good place to get everyone together outside of Washington. It's team-bonding. Trump is very much the player-coach."

The gathering is expected to be an informal follow-up to Trump's meeting last week with GOP senators during their weekly policy get-together on Capitol Hill. Trump also is scheduled to play host to a group of Republican governors at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday night, according to Politico, as well as a number of House Republicans this weekend.

Trump appears to be gathering congressional support as he seeks to quickly advance his agenda during his first 100 days in office.

Republican lawmakers are debating whether to use one or two reconciliation bills to implement Trump's border security, tax reform, and energy policies. Trump said he can live with either.

"I like one big, beautiful bill," Trump said at a news conference Tuesday, which aired on Newsmax and the Newsmax2 online streaming platform. "But if two is more certain, it does go a little bit quicker because you can do the immigration stuff early.

"I can live either way."
