Trump Declared Winner in Ind., Ky., S.C.; Harris in Vt.

Former President Donald Trump clinched a victory over Democrat Vice President in Kentucky, Indiana, and South Carolina on Tuesday night.

Harris was called the winner for Vermont.

Decision Desk HQ and Newsmax called the races for Trump and Harris shortly after 7 p.m. ET. The results gave Trump an early 28-3 lead in the Electoral College. Indiana gave him 11 electoral votes, South Carolina 9, and Kentucky 8.

With 8% of precincts reporting in Kentucky, Trump had a lead of 73.8%-25% over Harris. With 12% of the precincts reporting in Indiana, Trump had a 60.2%-38.5%.

Decision Desk HQ also called the U.S. Senate race in Indiana for Republican Jim Banks, filling the vacated seat left by Mike Braun, who ran for governor. Braun was declared the winner of that race as well.

In Vermont, incumbent independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, who caucuses with Senate Democrats, has been declared the winner.
