President Donald Trump, while answering questions in the Oval Office Wednesday during his appearance with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, laid into NBC News' Chief White House Correspondent Peter Alexander and told him that Comcast, his network's parent company, and its CEO Brian Roberts should "be investigated."

Trump became angered when Alexander asked him about the announcement that the White House will accept Qatar's gift of a luxury jet, valued at $400 million, to be used as an Air Force One plane.

The exchange was broadcast on Newsmax. "What are you talking about?" Trump retorted. "You ought to get out of here. What does this have to do with the Qatari jet? They're giving the United States Air Force a jet, OK. And it's a great thing. We're talking about a lot of other things."

Trump's comments came after a video was played of genocide allegedly being committed against white farmers in South Africa, which Ramaphosa disputed, saying he wants to "reset' his country's relationship with the United States.

Trump told Alexander that his question is "NBC trying to get off the subject of what you just saw."

"You're a terrible reporter," Trump said. "Number one, you don't have what it takes to be a reporter. You're not smart enough. But for you to go into a subject about a jet that was given to the United States Air Force, which is a very nice thing. They also gave $5.1 trillion worth of investment in addition to the jet."

Trump then told Alexander that he should "go back to your studio at NBC, because Brian Roberts and the people that run that place, they ought to be investigated. They are so terrible the way [they] run that network; and you're a disgrace. No more questions from you."
