Former President Donald Trump, the GOP's presumptive nominee, said in a video posted on Truth Social on Thursday that when it comes to left-leaning policies, independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is more "radical" than President Joe Biden or Green Party candidate Jill Stein.
"RFK Jr., as you know, is the most radical left candidate in the race. He's more so than the Green Party. He's more so than even crooked Joe Biden," Trump began.
The former president offered a compliment on Kennedy the man, before criticizing Kennedy the candidate saying, "He's got some nice things about him. I happen to like him. Unfortunately, he is about the Green New Scam."
Trump added: "He's a radical left Democrat and always will be. But he's a better man than Joe Biden, that I can tell you."
Trump noted that due to Kennedy's positions on green energy, he should take away votes from Biden. And he encouraged all Democrats to vote for the former environmental lawyer, saying, "He's, frankly, more in line with Democrats."
Trump later hinted that the Democrats might pursue legal action against Kennedy to keep him off the ballot saying, "Expect him to be indicted any day now, probably for environmental fraud."
Offering up a brief comment on Kennedy's running mate, Nicole Shanahan, Trump mocked the lawyer and philanthropist saying, "She has plenty of money from her ex-husband," Google co-founder Sergey Brin.
Trump said Kennedy is really Biden's opponent and not his, adding, "Biden can't speak; Biden can't debate; Biden can't put two sentences together."
Trump concluded by saying that his campaign appeals to the right, the center, and even a little bit of the center-left — "believe it or not" — and that Kennedy will take a lot of votes away from "crooked Joe Biden."
