Vice President Kamala Harris is holding a 14-point lead over former President Donald Trump in New York, according to new Emerson College polling results, doubling the points President Joe Biden held in the lead in May.

The poll for The Hill/WPIX, conducted Sep. 23-25 among 1,000 likely voters, further revealed that 3% of the voters support someone else and another 3% remain undecided, reported The Hill Friday.

In May, Biden led Trump by 7 points in the deep-blue state. And while Trump's support has not veered much since that poll, the share of undecided voters dropped from 12% to 3%, with the difference going to Harris.

Independents have also shifted to favor Harris, the poll showed.

Trump has been concentrating on New York, and even though he's not expected to flip the state, his campaign rallies may help protect House GOP incumbents such as first-year Reps. Mike Lawler, Anthony D'Esposito, Marc Molinaro, and Brandon Williams, and help keep the chamber from flipping this fall.

According to the latest polling aggregation from Decision Desk HQ, Harris is holding a 4-point lead over Trump nationally.
