It takes $10 million to get presidential hopeful Vice President Kamala Harris to make a guest appearance at a fundraiser, according to the New York Post.
Roughly three months before Election Day, fundraisers are asking for $10 million in donations to ensure a Harris appearance at their events. The move, according to one Democratic fundraiser, is simple free-market economics: "supply and demand."
"Everyone wants to host Kamala. They're desperate to get face time," another longtime Democratic fundraiser said of the party's standard bearer.
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo can be secured for $1 million, according to sources.
And first gentleman Doug Emhoff gets $500,000 for the honor of his attendance.
Harris' running mate, Gov. Tim Walz, pulled in more than $1 million at a recent fundraiser in Boston with sources saying his appearance will cost more as the election gets closer.
According to campaign sources, it is believed Harris' time is better spent stumping in swing states than rubbing elbows with decidedly blue donors, which makes attempting to host her incredibly pricey.
One political fundraiser said Democratic Party officials will name their number for what a potential host is expected to raise. If they fall short, the host is expected to write a check to make up the difference.
"It's either write or raise," the fundraiser said.
