Former President Donald Trump holds a 1-point lead over Vice President Kamala Harris in the race for the White House, Rasmussen Reports found.
Trump receives 48% support and Harris gets 47% among likely voters in Rasmussen poll results released Wednesday.
Another 3% say they'd vote for some other candidate, and 3% are undecided.
In the previous Rasmussen survey, Trump led 48%-45%.
A racial breakdown of the latest results: 52% of whites, 32% of Blacks, 51% of Hispanics, and 36% of other minorities said they'd vote for Trump, and 47% of whites, 58% of Blacks, 40% of Hispanics, and 54% of other minorities said they'd vote for Harris.
Harris is ahead 49%-46% among women voters, but Trump leads 50%-44% among men.
Among voters who said America is going in the right direction, 84% said they support Harris. Among voters who said the country is on the wrong track, 71% said they back Trump.
Voters aged 18-39 favored Harris by a 49%-42% margin, while those 40-64 (51%-44%) and those 65 and older (50%-47%) favored Trump.
Voters who said they "somewhat disapprove" of President Joe Biden are split (41%-41%) between Trump and Harris. Those who strongly approve (91%-6%) or somewhat approve (82%-13%) of the administration support Harris, and those who strongly disapprove (91%-5%) said they back Trump.
The latest Rasmussen survey found that voters who said they are "moderate" in ideology said they prefer Harris 54%-39%. Not surprisingly, voters who said they are "conservative" chose Trump 75%-20% and those who said they are "liberal" chose Harris 87%-9%.
In terms of voters' financial earnings, those below $30,000 (47%-46%), those earning $100,000-$200,000 (49%-45%) and those earning more than $200,000 (53%-43%) said they support Harris. Trump is the choice among voters earning $30,000-$50,000 (51%-44%) and $50,000-$100,000 (49%-46%).
The latest Rasmussen Reports survey was conducted Oct. 10, 13-15, 2024, among of 2,049 likely voters. The margin of sampling error is plus/minus 2 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence.
