In the wake of Roe v. Wade being overturned, abortion is the main driver for Democrat voters on Super Tuesday, while immigration is the top concern among Republicans, according to exit poll data from Decision Desk HQ.
Immigration was the dominant issue for Republican voters, with 44% citing it as their top concern. The economy follows at 28%, with abortion (8%), crime (7%), education (4%), and foreign policy (4%) trailing behind. Among those without a bachelor's degree, former President Donald Trump commands a substantial 76% of the vote, leaving former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley with 19%. Among voters with at least a bachelor's degree, Haley gains more ground, securing 36% of the vote compared to Trump's 57%.
The top issue for Democrat voters is abortion, with 27% of respondents citing it as their primary concern. Following closely behind is the economy at 25%. Other notable issues include education (11%), immigration (9%), foreign policy (9%), and crime (8%).
Almost half of Democrat voters, 47%, agree that the nation is on the right track. Only 7% of Republican voters said America is on the right track.
