Kendra Wilkinson, who was 18 when she moved into the Playboy Mansion with then-partner Hugh Hefner, has endured some recent critism of her appearance, and she has clapped back at critics.
Taking to social media, the reality TV personality spoke candidly about her aging and changing appearance while calling out body-shamers.
"Yes, I've gained weight. Yes, I'm aging. Yes, I'm not that girl I was before (Playboy girl)," she captioned a mirror photo of herself on Instagram, "but, for once in a long time, I feel good and mentally healthy."
Wilkinson, 39, — who shares Hank IV, 15, and Alijah, 10, with ex-husband Hank Bassett — added, "Kids are my everything. Feeling pretty balanced. Working out and cooking a lot more. Golf, work. No housekeeper or nanny."
With a new decade approaching, Wilkinson urged her followers to refrain from commenting on her body.
"For those of you hating on my new weight [and] 40-yr-old face, please know that I'm happy, healthy, and at peace in life finally," she wrote. "Leave me alone, and respect that I'm where I actually want to be finally all together. Almost 40 is feeling amazing."
In her post, Wilkinson also addressed concerns over her drinking, saying that she would be paying closer attention to her habits.
"To the people criticizing my alcohol intake … I hear you, and that will be monitored better," she said. "Drinking too much is definitely drinking too much, but you know what's coming up in JUNE … Shots. Love ya."
The update comes after Wilkinson praised her kids in an interview with E! News in September.
"My kids are good kids," she said. "They're just making my life good, fun, exciting, loving."
Wilkinson noted that her children were different from how she was at that age.
"My kids are anything but me as a teenager, thank God," Wilkinson explained. "I have taught them everything they need to know and more to not be me as a teenager. I was crazy from like the ages of 13 through now — 39; I just started growing up."
