Jean Smart has urged TV networks to reconsider airing Hollywood award shows in the wake of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.

The Golden Globe winner made her appeal Wednesday on Instagram.

"Attention! With ALL due respect, during Hollywood's season of celebration, I hope any of the networks televising the upcoming awards will seriously consider NOT televising them and donating the revenue they would have garnered to victims of the fires and the firefighters," Smart wrote.

While she didn't specify any particular events, Smart's comments likely referred to high-profile award shows such as the Academy Awards, Critics Choice Awards, and the Screen Actors Guild Awards, all of which are set to air on ABC, E! Network, and Netflix, respectively, Variety reported.

The wildfires raging in Los Angeles have posed significant challenges for various organizations preparing for events this season.

The SAG Awards canceled their live nominations announcement, opting to release the list via a press statement instead. Meanwhile, the Academy has extended its voting deadline from Jan. 12 to Jan. 14 after the season's fires impacted the process. The Critics Choice Awards, initially scheduled for Jan. 12, have now been postponed to Jan. 26.

In addition to the award shows, the fires have caused disruptions in other areas of the entertainment industry. Premieres for films like "The Last Showgirl," "Wolf Man," and "Unstoppable" have been called off, while major events such as the BAFTA Tea Party, the AFI Awards luncheon, and AARP's Movies for Grownups have also been delayed.

As of Thursday morning, more than 1,900 structures were destroyed in the fires, and the number is expected to increase. The fires have claimed the houses of numerous celebrities, including Billy Crystal, Mandy Moore, and Paris Hilton. Further, more than 130,000 people are also under evacuation orders in the metropolitan area, from the Pacific Coast inland to Pasadena, a number that continues to shift as new fires erupt.
