President Donald Trump announced a trio of moves in his administration to "bring back faith" in America, including a White House faith office, a religious liberty commission, and a taskforce targeting anti-Christian bias within the federal government.

In remarks at the second of two national prayer breakfasts, this one private at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C., Trump criticized the Biden administration for "persecution" of believers for prosecuting anti-abortion advocates.

"I'm announcing that I will be creating a brand new Presidential Commission on Religious Liberty," Trump said. "It's going to be a very big deal, which will work tirelessly to uphold this most fundamental right.

"Unfortunately, in recent years, we've seen this sacred liberty threatened like never before in American history. There's nothing happened like the last four years.

"What's happened with so many things have gone bad, but religion, what they've done and the persecution that they've executed have been just horrible."

He also said he would name his new Attorney General Pam Bondi to lead a task force to "eradicate anti-Christian bias."

"Today, I'm signing an executive order to make our attorney general who's a great person — she's going to be a great attorney general, Pam Bondi — the head of a task force, brand new, to eradicate anti-Christian bias," Trump said. "About time, right? Anti-Christian bias: You never heard of that one before, right?

"But there is. It's about time, isn't it?

"The mission of this task force will be to immediately halt all forms of anti-Christian targeting and discrimination within the federal government, including at the DOJ — which was absolutely terrible — the IRS, the FBI, terrible, and other agencies.

"In addition, the task force will work to fully prosecute anti-Christian violence and vandalism in our society and move heaven and Earth to defend the rights of Christians and religious believers nationwide.

"You've never had that before, but this is a very powerful document I'm signing. You got it. You got it now, first time you've had it.

"If we don't have religious liberty, then we don't have a free country. We probably don't even have a country."

The restoring of faith in America is going to happen right in the White House, Trump added.

"This week I'm also creating the White House Faith office, led by Pastor Paula White, who is so amazing," he announced.

Trump took a victory lap over his early administration efforts to roll back diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and to limit transgender participation in women's sports.

"I don't know if you've been watching, but we got rid of woke over the last two weeks," he said. "Woke is gone-zo."
