The owners of a New Jersey gym have been arrested for failing to abide by the state's coronavirus shutdown orders, The Hill reported Tuesday.

Ian Smith and Frank Trumbetti posted a video of their arrest, writing on their business's Facebook page, "Welcome to America 2020, where feeding your family and standing up for your Constitutional rights is illegal."

Smith told Fox News host Tucker Carlson he is "not afraid of tyrants" and "No American should be, because we outnumber them greatly."

He added, "the only thing they run off of is fear, which is why you see what you see in the media, where they're pumping fear into the coronavirus, when what they should be pumping is solutions."

Smith defiantly continued, "It's 'wear a mask, shut up and wait for a vaccine,' That's not public health, and I won't subscribe to it."

The arrest of the owners came days after a Superior Court judge found their gym to be in contempt of court for refusing to adhere to statewide coronavirus mandates ordered by Gov. Phil Murphy, according to The Hill.

Smith said after the judge's ruling, "We will not leave this building under any circumstances unless they take us out in handcuffs."
