Former FBI legal counsel James Baker made another appearance in Monday's latest Twitter Files, the 10th edition, drawing a rebuke for attempting to have former President Donald Trump suspended for telling Americans to not be afraid at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
But, that is not all, Twitter CEO Elon Musk vowed Monday, teasing more revelations to come next week on COVID-19 censorship on the platform.
"Much more to The Twitter Files: Covid Edition than this introductory thread," Musk tweeted. "Follow-up piece to come next week, featuring leading doctors & researchers from Harvard, Stanford & other institutions."
"(Many of whom were, of course, actively suppressed on Twitter)," Musk added.
Baker, who as FBI legal counsel helped start the now-debunked Russia collusion narrative in the 2016 presidential election, was working at Twitter to help the government block COVID-19 information during the 2020 presidential election cycle.
"Former FBI General Counsel James Baker, who helped grease the wheels to get FISA warrants to spy on Trump, tried to get the sitting POTUS censored while working at Twitter for saying 'don't be afraid of COVID,'" the recently unblocked account of Rogan O'Handley tweeted. "I wish I was joking."
The revelation came in the 34th post in the 10th edition of the Twitter Files, which kicked off the COVID-19 censorship operations at the behest of myriad government agencies at the social media giant led by liberal activists.
"34. In a surreal exchange, Jim Baker, at the time Twitter's Deputy General Counsel, asks why telling people to not be afraid wasn't a violation of Twitter's Covid-19 misinformation policy," Twitter Files 10 author David Zweig tweeted.
Even anti-Trump Twitter executive Yoel Roth questioned Baker's stretching the policy to block Trump's "optimism" amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
"35. Yoel Roth, Twitter's former head of Trust & Safety, had to explain that optimism wasn’t misinformation," Zweig added.
While Roth slowed Baker's attempt at liberal activist censorship of the sitting president — the frequent target of both of their ires — Roth did suggest he was willing to listen to how Baker could justify blocking President Trump's optimism during the 2020 presidential campaign.
Trump has denounced the FBI "illegally" meddling in the 2020 presidential election through having its thumb on the scale with contacts at Twitter like Roth and Baker, while Musk has been critical of Twitter's censorship operation before he bought the company for $44 billion late this year.
Musk has vowed the biggest takedowns of the Twitter Files would including FBI's malign influence of censorship on the platform, particularly during the 2020 presidential election and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Musk has angered liberals for suggesting Dr. Anthony Fauci had bad intentions during COVID-19.
"My pronouns are Prosecute/Fauci," Musk tweeted, adding "truth resonates."
Musk also denounced liberal COVID activism as a cult, having compared it to the Waco, Texas, Branch Davidians spiritual cult.
"The Branch Covidians are upset," Musk trolled Fauci apologists on Twitter.
Also, this weekend, Musk lamented all the alleged "Twitter conspiracies" are ultimately "turning out to be true."
