The decision whether to extend the U.S-brokered moratorium on strikes on energy facilities by both Russia and Ukraine will depend on President Vladimir Putin and possible talks with the U.S., TASS agency cited Kremlin's spokesman as saying Monday.

"The moratorium was essentially not observed by the Ukrainian side," TASS cited Dmitry Peskov as saying. "Therefore, of course, these 30 days will need to be analyzed."

Peskov added talks with the U.S. side will most likely take place on whether to analyze the moratorium.
