Donald Trump’s historic 2024 victory wasn’t just a win for conservatives — it was a seismic realignment of American politics.
For decades, Democrats assumed they had an unshakable hold on Hispanic voters. In 2024, we proved them wrong. Hispanics across America embraced President Trump’s message of faith, family, hard work, and economic opportunity, delivering a staggering 46% of their vote to the GOP.
From Texas to Florida to battleground states like Michigan and Nevada, Hispanics rejected the Democrats’ broken promises and stood with a movement that truly values their contributions and values.
As the president of Latinos for America First, I saw firsthand the grassroots energy that powered this shift. Our teams worked tirelessly in key swing states like Arizona, Nevada, Texas, and Michigan, delivering big wins that defied the odds.
In Arizona, our efforts helped secure victories in three legislative districts, paving the way for Steve Montenegro to become the first Hispanic Speaker of the House. Across the country, we knocked on over 30,000 doors, made 35,725 phone calls, and sent out 25,000 GOTV texts to mobilize Hispanic voters.
With over 55 major rallies and events, 13 coalition training sessions, and 3.8 million social media impressions, we brought our America First message directly to voters and built lasting connections in our communities.
This isn’t just about winning elections — it’s about reshaping the political landscape. Under Trump’s leadership, Hispanics thrived, with real median household incomes growing by $6,500 between 2017 and 2019.
Compare that to the Biden administration, where inflation, high gas prices, and rising crime devastated Hispanic families. Trump’s America First policies delivered results for working-class Hispanics, and they responded by turning out in record numbers.
But the success didn’t stop at the ballot box. Our Southwest Director won her school board race, proving that grassroots engagement is transforming local politics as well.
Meanwhile, our coalition of over 450,000 members continues to expand, standing firm for traditional values, economic opportunity, and safer communities.
Now the question is: How do Republicans consolidate these gains and ensure that Hispanic voters remain a cornerstone of our movement? The answer is clear: we must invest in year-round Hispanic engagement infrastructure.
Latinos for America First is leading the charge, proving that sustained outreach — through door-knocking, media appearances, and grassroots events — delivers results. This effort must be expanded to every battleground state and congressional district, ensuring that Hispanic voters are not just an election-year focus but a permanent priority.
Trump’s GOP is now a multi-racial, working-class coalition. The Democrats’ obsession with radical ideologies, pro-crime policies, and economic mismanagement has alienated Hispanic voters, who are coming home to conservative values they never left.
The 2024 red wave was only the beginning. By doubling down on America First policies and grassroots outreach, Republicans can secure Hispanic loyalty for generations to come.
Latinos for America First proved that when we engage our communities authentically and passionately, we win. This is our moment to build a lasting alliance between Hispanics and the conservative movement.
Together, we are shaping a brighter, stronger future — for our families, for our values, and for America.
