The Wednesday night assassinations of an Israeli citizen, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, an American, weren’t a protest, resistance, "liberation," or about freeing "Palestine."
Federal law enforcement rightfully charged, Elias Rodriguez, 31, with a targeted act of terrorism.
The assassination was of two Israeli diplomats on American soil.
They were murdered because they were Israelis.
What happened occurred in the name of a radical, hate-fueled movement operating under the false banner of "Free Palestine."
Firsthand, we are witnessing nothing short of a war against the Jewish people, carried out on our streets, on our campuses, and now against diplomats of a close American ally.
It's time to declare a national emergency on antisemitism in the United States and treat this for what it is: an organized, ideological domestic threat, one which must be dismantled with the full force and effect of federal law.
President Trump has always been there for the Jewish people when it mattered most. And we trust that he will continue to lead with the strength and moral conviction he is known for. Now is the moment to go further.
Let’s be clear: President Donald J. Trump has been the strongest friend the Jewish people have ever had in the White House:
- He moved our embassy to Jerusalem.
- He recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
- He brokered historic peace through the Abraham Accords.
And here at home, he took bold action to protect Jewish students by signing an executive order against campus antisemitism and has revoked the visa of hundreds of foreign students for their actions to support terrorism.
He’s also held colleges accountable by stripping billions of grants from them.
And now, as antisemitic radicals openly call for intifada in America and celebrate the murder of Jews.
We know President Trump will not stand idly by.
He's already begun revoking student visas of foreign extremists.
That’s real leadership.
The signs of escalation were everywhere.
For months we’ve watched "Free Palestine" mobs shut down bridges, occupy campuses, and terrorize Jewish students and faculty. Their slogans, "From the River to the Sea," "Global Intifada," "Death to Zionists" are not chants of protest.
They're calls for violence. And now those calls have again spilled Jewish blood.
These radicals didn’t hide their intentions:
- They live-streamed their threats.
- They organized riots.
- They posted instructions for "direct action" online.
- They rallied behind known terror sympathizers.
- And very recently cheered as innocent Jewish diplomats were gunned down.
Enough!
We must respond with clarity and force.
The first step is this: arrest the top 10 most influential ringleaders of the radicalized "Free Palestine" movement in America. Do it publicly. Do it immediately.
Let the world know: if you incite terrorism against Jews, you will be treated as such — a terrorist.
This is not about silencing peaceful dissent. The right to protest is sacred. But calls for murder are not protected speech.
Incitement to violence is a crime, and the law must be enforced.
The Department of Justice (DOJ), the FBI, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have the tools. They have the intelligence. All they need is the green light to act. And with President Trump’s proven record of moral clarity, we're confident that action is not only coming it’s inevitable.
This is about more than one horrific night. It’s about the future of Jewish safety in America. In 2018, we saw the massacre at a Pittsburgh temple.
In 2019, it was Jersey City. And now in 2025, assassinations of Jews on American soil.
When does it end? When do we say: never again means never again?
Let’s be honest. If two Muslim diplomats were murdered by far-right extremists, this country would be in a state of emergency by sunrise. The DOJ would be issuing indictments, social media would explode with condemnation, and every corporation would be racing to release statements.
But because the victims were Jews, we get silence. That silence must end.
President Trump, please declare a national state of emergency on antisemitism.
Jewish Americans, and our allies, stand ready to support you, Mr. President.
The time for action is now. We are behind you.
