Not What They Seem: Religious NGOs Undermine Borders, Democracy

For the past decade, numerous supposedly religious, and left-wing non-governmental organizations (NGOs), under the guise of offering humanitarian aid, have actively facilitated illegal immigration, which erodes the integrity of our borders and exploiting American generosity.

President-elect Trump now has the unique opportunity to end this human trafficking once and for all.

The ongoing misuse of charitable organizations to facilitate illegal immigration represents a severe and deliberate undermining of U.S. law and policy, effectively morphing taxpayer-funded aid into a government-sanctioned money laundering operation.

This operation has grown exponentially under the vigorous open border policies of Vice President Kamala Harris and poses a direct threat to the integrity of our democratic institutions and the rule of law.

According to data from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), in 2023 alone, over $1.4 billion was funneled through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to various non-governmental organizations (NGOs) under the guise of providing humanitarian aid to migrants.

However, these funds often directly support activities that encourage and sustain illegal border crossings.

A consortium of religious NGOs such as Catholic Charities, Jewish Family Services, and Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, cloaked under the veneer of humanitarian aid, are effectively orchestrating an invasion under the guise of charity, undermining American sovereignty and the rule of law with the approval of the current administration.

Catholic Charities, for instance, has received hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars, ostensibly to provide humanitarian aid to migrants.

However, they have expanded their operations to facilitate the movement of illegal immigrants across the U.S. border by providing them with more than just basic necessities

They offer legal counsel specifically designed to skirt U.S. immigration laws, along with transportation deeper into the country, setting up what is essentially a conveyor belt for illegal entry into the United States.

These NGOs provide migrants with gift cards, free flights, and housing — services that ease the process of illegal entry into the United States.

This not only incentivizes illegal immigration but also diverts resources meant for genuine disaster relief.

It's imperative that we call this what it is: a systematic assault on the rule of law and national sovereignty.

If left unchecked, this exploitation of American goodwill and resources will continue to erode the fabric of our nation.

This scheme is tantamount to legalized money laundering, where American taxpayer dollars are washed through NGOs only to emerge as incentives for illegal migration.

Such actions not only erode public trust in our federal agencies but also facilitate an ongoing crisis at the border.

The numbers are stark and unsettling: over 10 million illegal immigrants have been encountered at the southern border under Biden-Harris — a record high.

The consequences of this systemic abuse extend beyond mere financial mismanagement. They strike at the very foundation of our democratic processes by incentivizing illegal immigration, which in turn affects electoral dynamics, overburdens public resources, and strains community relations.

This unchecked flow of money and migrants undermines the principle that legal entry routes, established by Congress, are the basis for immigration.

Instead, the current policy tacitly approves an alternative parallel system that operates outside the legal framework, supported by taxpayer dollars.

It is imperative for Congress to step in and demand accountability through rigorous oversight and reform.

We must scrutinize every dollar allocated to these NGOs, enforce strict compliance with federal law, and ensure that charitable funding serves its intended purpose rather than undermining our immigration system.

Legislation is needed to halt the flow of federal funds to any organization that aids in the illegal transport and settlement of migrants.

Furthermore, a thorough audit and investigation into FEMA’s grant processes and the activities of recipient NGOs should be a priority to restore integrity and lawful use of disaster relief funds.

The mishandling of these funds under the guise of charity is not just a misstep; it's a manipulation of American generosity and a dereliction of the government’s duty to protect its citizens and uphold its laws.

If left unchecked, this policy will continue to erode public trust and the pillars of our democracy, making it imperative that we act now to rectify this grave misuse of power and resources.
