The truth is, there is no functioning Palestinian state, only corrupt leaders who have enriched themselves at the expense of their own people. The world must wake up to the reality of the situation and stop perpetuating the myth of a Palestinian state.
Hillary Clinton, a prominent political figure and former Secretary of State, has recently spoken out against this ignorance, urging the next generation of leaders to educate themselves on the history of the conflict and the sacrifices made by Israel. She rightly points out that the Palestinian leadership has consistently chosen terror over peace, squandering opportunities for economic growth and stability.
Let’s not forget how the United States and its allies have poured billions of dollars in aid to the Palestinian Authority, with little to show for it in terms of economic development or improved living conditions for the Palestinian people. Instead, much of this aid was spent on terror infrastructure and has been siphoned off by corrupt leaders, who have enriched themselves at the expense of their own people.
The idiotic recognition of Palestine by third world countries as a sovereign state sends dangerous messages to other terrorist groups and rogue states who seek to destroy Israel and the West by empowering terrorist organizations seeking to erase Israel and the West from the map.
It is time for world leaders starting with the United States to hold Hamas accountable for their actions, stop appeasing the aggressor and stand up for the true victims of terror and violence.
It is disheartening to see the world turn a blind eye to the sacrifices that Israel has made over the years in an effort to establish peace and prosperity in the region.
For decades, Israel has made countless concessions in the hopes of achieving peace with the Palestinians. Land has been given, billions of dollars in aid have been sent, and sacrifices have been made.
Yet, time and time again, the Palestinian leadership has squandered these opportunities and chosen instead to embrace violence and terrorism.
The withdrawal of greenhouses and homes from Gush Katif, which were handed over to the Palestinian Authority by Israel in the hopes of fostering peace guaranteed by the United States and U.N. is a stark demonstration of the true intentions of the Palestinian leadership. These greenhouses, fully developed and ready for use, were meant to provide economic opportunities for the Palestinian people living in Gaza.
However, instead of embracing these gifts and utilizing them for the betterment of their communities, the Palestinian Authority chose to destroy them.
The destruction of these greenhouses and beautiful homes not only showed a lack of appreciation for the efforts made toward peace by the Israeli government but also demonstrated a disregard for the well-being of their own people. By choosing destruction over development, the Palestinian Authority further distanced themselves from helping their people economically.
In Lebanon, Israel also withdrew its troops in the hopes of fostering peace in the region. However, this move has been exploited by terrorist groups who continue to attack Israel from that front.
The idea of a Palestinian state that looks out for the interests of its people sounds tempting but is nothing more than a myth. The world must embrace the reality that the Palestinian authorities are more interested in promoting terror and violence than in building a functioning economy and government for their people.
The United States and other world governments have a moral obligation to support Israel and not dictate to them from thousands of miles away how to protect its citizens. Israel is the only true democracy in the region, and to ensure its security and prosperity, it is time to recognize the naked emperor for what he truly is — a corrupt and ineffective leadership that has no interest in peace or prosperity for its own people.
As Americans, the leaders of the Free World, we have an obligation to educate ourselves and our future generations on the true nature of the conflict and the sacrifices that Israel has made in the pursuit of peace.
We must show unconditional support for Israel, a nation that has made countless sacrifices for peace only to be rewarded with terror in return.
It is time to recognize the naked emperor for what he truly is and to work toward eliminating its terrorist leadership. The solution starts by identifying the root of the problem and not rewarding the perpetrators.
It is time for a shift in policy; stop dreaming and recognize the true problem. Only then can we achieve peace and justice for all.
