WSJ: Israel Is Running low on Defensive Missile Interceptors

Wednesday, 18 June 2025 06:55 AM EDT

Israel is running low on defensive "Arrow" missile interceptors, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, citing an unnamed U.S. official, raising concerns about the country's ability to counter long-range ballistic missiles from Iran.

Reuters could not immediately confirm the report.

"Neither the U.S. nor the Israelis can continue to sit and intercept missiles all day," the Center for Strategic and International Studies' Missile Defense Project Director Tom Karako told the Journal.

"The Israelis and their friends need to move with all deliberate haste to do whatever needs to be done, because we cannot afford to sit and play catch."
