Wednesday, 27 November 2024 09:27 AM EST

South Korea's presidential office said the government would step up efforts to prepare response measures to potential U.S. tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada, as domestic firms would inevitably be affected by them, the Yonhap News Agency reported Wednesday.

President-elect Donald Trump on Monday pledged he would sign an executive order imposing a 25% tariff on all products coming in to the United States from Mexico and Canada.
