Police say a "political motive" cannot be ruled out after arsonists destroyed four Tesla electric vehicles (EVs) in Berlin, Germany, reports AFP.
Tesla sales have dipped worldwide as consumers push back against CEO Elon Musk and his political involvement with President Donald Trump.
Musk has also faced backlash for vocally supporting the far-right Alternative for Germany in the recent general election.
He recently hosted AfD leader Alice Weidel on a livestream on his X social media platform and used it to boost the party's messaging.
In Germany, Tesla sales were down more than 70% in February compared to last year.
A survey of 100,000 Germans conducted by T-Online and published Friday showed that 94% said they wouldn't buy a Tesla vehicle.
Sales are falling in other European countries as well.
In recent months, there have been several other incidents targeting Tesla automobiles in Germany.
In early January, two Tesla vehicles were set on fire in Berlin and two more were set alight in February in Dresden.
Last month police said that they were probing suspected arson at a construction site in Berlin, which was reportedly claimed by far-left activists as part of an anti-Tesla protest.
Reprting from AFP was used in this report.
