Paige Donner - Biography


Paige Donner is a media expert and serial entrepreneur. She founded the company, Paris Food And Wine in 2013, an offshoot of her Local Food And Wine media platform and eboutique. In 2018, she founded IoTShipping, a supply chain logistics startup that uses IoT, Internet of Things, technology for precision traceability of shipped goods, namely wine, spirits, pharmaceuticals and high-end assets & perishables.

Paige has been contributing to Newsmax since 2018.  She began her journalism career in Paris, France in 1990 when her first job out of university was working for Time-Life in their rue Fbg. St. Honore offices. Within the next two years, she took in extra freelancing work as copy editor for the International Herald Tribune, now re-branded the International New York Times, as well as writing assignments for Variety, the film and television trade magazine.

By 1994, Paige and her French husband returned to Hawaii, where they had lived while Paige was doing her degree in Political Science at the University of Hawaii, Manoa. Back in Hawaii, Paige clerked for the Senate President at the Hawaii State Legislature. By 1996 she had moved to Los Angeles, California where she pursued a career in filmmaking, script writing. She wrote several television pilots as well as directed television commercials and short films. She also contributed to  American Cinematographer, The Los Angeles Times, Daily Variety, The Huffington Post and a film production trade magazine called Below The Line.

While living in L.A., Paige became very active in clean water and clean air initiatives. These are issues she remains engaged in today.

Paige's formative years were spent with her father in Lafayette, Northern California, just outside of San Franicisco; and in Guam and Hawaii with her mother who was a civilian working for the Admiral of the Navy in their public information office.

As of 2010, Paige has once again made Paris, France her home. Since arriving back in France, she made a career choice to focus her media skills on food, wine and lifestyle. She has written a couple of guidebooks for Fodor's, contributed to the Michelin Guides, and has sporadically written for the International New York Times over the past decades. Since 2013, she has been the sole regular local editor/ photographer contributor based in Paris, France for USA Today and their 10BEST travel brand. She is host-creator of the premier English-language podcast about food and wine broadcast from France, Paris GOODfood+wine. She is also the founding editor of Local Food And Wine.

In the past decade, Paige has authored a novel, I'll Take Paris; a media commentary, The Audacity of Despotism, How The US Mainstream Media Tried To Swing The 2016 Presidential Election And Failed; a cookbook, Le CBD Cafe Cookbook; and two self-published guidebooks: Paris On 4 Paws, A Dog Lover's Guidebook to The City of Light and Sexy Paris, The Romantic Couple's Guide to The City of Love.

She lives in Paris with her dog, Idéale, a Corgi mix who is as smart and pretty as a fox. Two historical figures Paige most greatly admires are Olympe de Gouges, a French woman who lived contemp-oraneously with Marie-Antoinette. She authored Les Droits des Citoyennes (The Rights of Women). Olympe, like the famous 18th c. French Queen, was also beheaded for her beliefs; and Benjamin Franklin, the first US Ambassador to France, discoverer of electricity and US Founding Father.
