Lax Immigration Policy, Terror-Aligned Ideology Made Mahmoud Khalil's Hate-Filled American Roadshow Possible
Pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil should start packing his bags.
On Sept. 12, an immigration judge in Louisiana ordered the non-citizen activist to be deported back to Syria or Algeria for neglecting to mention his affiliation with various unsavory organizations on his green card application.
That's bad news for Khalil, good news for America.
In a two-page memorandum released in April and signed by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the green card holder was deemed deportable because his "beliefs, statements, or associations" severely undermine US foreign policy objectives.
Khalil was released from immigration detention in June after being detained in March for endorsing and supporting antisemitic activity.
Since his release from detention nearly three months ago, Mahmoud Khalil's bustling and politically rich schedule revealed a young man committed to advancing his antisemitic agenda through interviews, events, and associations.
For the new father who sought international sympathy after missing the birth of his first child, Khalil seemed to have little interest in spending time with his infant son.
Among the lawmakers who will waste little time decrying last week's decision by Judge Jamee Comans are Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., who met the new father at Newark airport following his release from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Louisiana.
She represents one of several Democrats who helped catapult the antisemitic foreigner to celebrity-level heights.
Nearly a month after being freed, Khalil toured Capitol Hill and met with a number of liberal politicians.
Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Reps. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., and Summer Lee, D-Pa., were some of the lawmakers who proudly posed with the anti-Israel activist, with Pressley remarking on social media that Mahmoud Khalil is a "kind, gentle soul who cares deeply about others' humanity."
Perhaps Pressley should tune into one of Khalil's numerous interviews, for which he has devoted hours of his time to propagandizing against U.S. interests and promoting terrorism.
In an interview released last month with New York Times columnist Ezra Klein, Khalil attempted to justify the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas slaughter in Israel by characterizing the massacre as unavoidable and that such an event was needed to "break the cycle" in Israeli-Saudi diplomacy.
His outrageous assertions didn't dissuade radical NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani from developing a fondness for the former student activist.
At a New York comedy show headlined by Ramy Youssef, the provocateur and the politician were asked onstage where the two engaged in a heartfelt exchange rooted in a shared hatred of American values.
Both Khalil and Mamdani are cut from similar ideological cloths and cloak their radical positions in elite Ivy League sophistry.
Together, they reflect the calamity of Biden-era immigration policies and the Democratic Party's antisemitic drift.
Khalil, whose wife is an American citizen, has leveraged his continued presence in the United States by imparting a radical orthodoxy to a broadening base of influencers, politicians, and students.
Khalil received a hero's welcome at the pro-terror People's Conference for Palestine in Michigan late last month.
The gathering was attended by over 4,500 people and featured some of the world's most prominent antisemitic activists.
The militant tenor of the three-day hate fest included a litany of speakers glorifying terror and issuing explicit calls to abolish Israel.
For his part, Khalil was greeted with a standing ovation and pledged to continue fighting for "Palestine" while proclaiming that the "Palestinian Liberation movement is winning."
The disturbing scenes unfolding at the conference, which consisted of Michigan Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib delivering a profanity-laced homage to terrorists, served to amplify the measures radical individuals are undertaking to threaten Western civilization from within America's borders.
The longer Khalil remains in America, the more emboldened he becomes to influence the public discourse and deepen his ties with prominent cultural and political figures.
His impending removal rids our nation of a radical activist who used the privilege of being in the United States to embark on a deliberate path to derail America's Judeo-Christian ethos and reshape our country's character.
The best place for Mahmoud Khalil is outside of America, far away from our citizens and schools.
Khalil's American story will sooN close, yet his experience highlights what occurs when a lax immigration system collides with a dangerous and terror-aligned ideology.
