Make No Mistake, Biden Cheerfully Leads Big Tech Censorship

In 2018, the Trump administration created CISA — the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency — to focus on protecting critical infrastructure and guarding against cybersecurity threats, largely from abroad.

But, under Biden, CISA has morphed into a different story, an ominousy dark tale of an agency that a House Committee calls "the nerve center of the federal government’s domestic surveillance and censorship operations on social media."

The House Weaponization subcommittee, chaired by Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, charges that CISA "facilitated the censorship of Americans directly and through third-party intermediaries during the Biden administration."

Originally charged with missions like protecting our power grid from hackers, it has "expanded its mission to surveil Americans’s speech on social media, colluded with Big Tech and government-funded third parties to censor by proxy, and tried to hide its plainly unconstitutional activities from the public."

CISA defines its mission as combatting MCM —"mis, dis, and malformation" by expanding its mission from cybersecurity to monitor foreign "disinformation" to eventually monitor "all 'disinformation,' including Americans' speech."

CISA says "malinformation" is "factual information that is objectionable not because it is false or untruthful, but because it is provided without adequate 'context' — context as determined by the government."

CISA monitors social media and reports posts that, it says spread "disinformation" to social media platforms.

The agency is reportedly considering creating an anti-misinformation rapid-response team to counter speech it considers to be mis, dis, malinformation.

It has contracted out its censorship to The Center for Internet Security (CIS).

CISA gives CIS spending $27 million in FY 2024 for CIS’ Elections Infrastructure Information Sharing and Analysis Center.

So as censorship spreads online and gets contracted out to private agencies, we now see that it is catalyzed, fueled, and enabled by a federal agency — CISA.

Biden used an agency created to protect America’s infrastructure to spy on us and to suppress the truth if it doesn’t comport with the official government line.

As George Orwell wrote in his book "1984," "Big Brother is Watching You."

In 2023.
